Why?
Hello! My name is Rebekah. I am a Rotary exchange student from Michigan, USA to Gujarat, India. Many people have asked me why I decided to become an exchange student, and why India? First, I decided to become an exchange student because I have always admired all of the exchange students I have met for their courage, and envied their life-changing experiences. I also wanted to become more independent, and especially less shy. Another reason is because I had no idea what I wanted to do in life, or where I wanted to go to college. On paper, India was my 5th choice. But now I believe that it was God's plan for my life. I have always asked Him to guide my life and show me what to do, and He has. Even if I feel like I am about to fall off a cliff, He builds a bridge for me. And this time, India was my bridge.

I will be the first to leave a comment. You are a special young woman and I am blessed to be called your mother. This is just the beginning. You will be used greatly in your service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Love Ya Mom
Rebekah, you are so amazing! you're definitely a role model for me, and i'm 4 days older than you! haha, just kidding.
But I seriously admire your bravery and boldness, going to a foreign country and not knowing anyone. you definitely impress me! :)

Hi again,
It is your cousin Helena; hope you are having loads of fun. I work with several people from the area you are visiting, they were pleased to know that you selected India as your destination. They were telling me about the upcoming dance festival, they have the festival here too, but they have to do it inside their places of worship so not everyone gets to go because it fills up quickly. They were very excited when I mentioned it. I think of you often & admire your bravery.
Love Helena
